The purpose of Ohio Fair Professionals is to support and strengthen county fairs by providing education, training, and resources focused on effective policies and procedures. Through collaboration, professional development, and the sharing of best practices, the organization serves as an educational resource for fair managers and both paid and volunteer staff, equipping them with the tools needed to operate efficiently, effectively, and sustainably. By promoting consistency, compliance, and innovation, Ohio Fair Professionals is committed to supporting the long-term success and integrity of county fairs and the communities they serve.
The Ohio Fair Managers Association has put together a team to help support and strengthen our county fair staff and the volunteers who help run our offices and complete required reporting.
This team will host monthly Zoom meetings focused on topics designed to help you improve procedures, learn best practices, and connect with others in similar roles.
This is a great networking opportunity to connect with staff and volunteers from fairs across Ohio and build relationships with people you can call on for support when facing challenges or questions.
These meetings are open to everyone involved in fair operations, including:
Full-time, year-round staff
Part-time staff
Volunteer secretaries and treasurers
Event managers
Board officials who do not have paid staff and are responsible for managing finances and overseeing facility operations
